Trade and crafts have always played an important role in the town on the river Mur. Various trade guilds dominated the economic and cultural life and laid the foundation stone of today’s Bad Radkersburg.
The 17 preserved guild coffres alone bear witness to the old art of crafts. Arcade courtyards, magnificent buildings, the unique museum and the medieval city walls bestow a Mediterranean character to the town.
