Bruck an der Mur

Cultural-historical jewels: castle houses and monuments

In the year 860, the city Bruck an der Mur was first mentioned as “ad pruccum”, although the origins certainly go back further. The proud buildings and interesting cultural and historical gems still bear witness to the enormous importance of the city. Unique cultural monuments, such as the Kornmesserhaus – the landmark of the city, the parish church, the Iron Fountain and the many imposing town houses fascinate visitors. Discover the Schlossberg with the clock tower, from here you have a wonderful view over the roofs of the city.

Tip – With the night watchman through the Kornmesserstadt

Travel back in time with the night watchman. Follow in the footsteps of the famous poet Hugo von Montfort, or learn more about traders or hammer lords. Another tour takes you up to the Schlossberg or enchants you with culinary delights.
