The questions reflect the students’ curriculum and focus on arts, history, religion, natural history or biology. They are so formulated as to highlight the interrelationship between various subjects as much as possible. For elementary school students, the questions are on general studies, for high school students profiled topics may be booked, e.g. “Art styles in Braunau’s churches” or “The social classes in the Middle Ages”. A topics list is available upon request! At the end of the tour, the question sheets are handed in and graded.  The award ceremony may take place immediately afterwards or at a later date. The history of the Danube Swabians begins in the 17th century, when the Habsburg Monarchy ordered the resettlement of the central Danube region, which the Turks had left devastated and depopulated. For centuries, the Danube Swabians lived and worked in communities which today are located in Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Croatia. During the 2nd World War, many Danube Swabians sought refuge in Austria some of whom settled down in Braunau am Inn.
