Bludenz

Market place and heart of five alpine valleys

Milka Chocolate Festival
Once a year – on a Saturday in early July,– Bludenz is immersed in chocolate: The whole town celebrates the Milka Chocolate Festival with music presented by national and international stars, kids’ programme, soapbox derby, street theatre, magic shows and of course lots of sweets. This festival has acquired such fame over the past 30 years that today Bludenz is also known as “Milka Town”.

Convent Market
Every year – on the first weekend in September –representatives of about 30 monasteries meet in the Bludenz old town. They come from Austria, Germany, France and Italy, from all over Europe actually, to display and sell their goods and products. On Thursday evening, the market is traditionally opened with a festive mass. In this setting you can take a lovely stroll and while browsing around even have a chat with the stallholders and learn lots of interesting facts about monastic life.

Mercato di Borgo

The traditional Trentino Market of Bludenz‘s partner town Borgo Valsugana offers a great variety of delicious Italian specialties. Wine, olive oil, salami, ham, pickles – to name only a few of the numerous palate-titillating treats. Italian song recitals round off the market’s attractive programme.

Unikat B

Unikat B is an initiative and sales fair for contemporary applied arts. Renowned designers and artisans from diverse branches and countries meet every spring in the rooms of the Gayenhofen Castle to display and offer for sale their unique and original creations.
