Judenburg – Bruck/Mur – Bad Radkersburg
205 km approx. 3.5 hours
As many as three Small Historic Towns are located along the Mur River. The route starts in Judenburg, a medieval town situated amidst beautiful Swiss stone pine woodland, in the winter a relaxed family ski resort, then continues up and down the Styrian hillside via Spielberg and Leoben to our next stop Bruck an der Mur. Surrounded by impressive mountains, the town harmoniously unites the mountains of Styria with urban life. Salt trade once made the town rich as attested to by its many beautiful historic buildings so characteristic of its townscape. The route then turns southwards and leads via Frohnleiten, Weiz and Bad Gleichenberg to the third and last town, Bad Radkersburg, located near the Slovenian border. A delightful spa town with Mediterranean flair and so much to offer, from thermal springs to delicious wines and food, making it a wonderful finale to the journey.
